In a somewhat surprising move today, the Phillies have decided to decline their club option on Third Baseman Pedro Feliz. Feliz had a solid 2009, hitting 12 HR’s (his worst home run total since 2002) and driving in82 RBI’s.
The most interesting thing about this move is not the fact that the Phillies declined his option, it is the question of who they plan to bring in to replace him at third base. This may be the perfect spot for Adrian Beltre or Chone Figgins to end up.
